The sapphire is considered to be made of very hard substance. It has great durability and is very difficult to get even a scratch or crack on its surface. Well though it is very hard substance but it’s not the hardest. As the hardest substance as known is diamond, so when this stone is made in contact with diamond, it is possible that it can damage its surface.
